Part of why I wouldn't do biweekly or rarer is someone would cancel ONCE and then suddenly you're skipping a whole month, and at that point you don't have a regular game, you have "that thing that maybe happens sometimes", and I'm not about that life.

the epstein files make it abundantly clear that individuals having this degree of wealth is directly the cause of every horrible thing in the world, and any coherent vision of a better future cannot involve billionaires existing. They have to go, be it taxed out of existence or otherwise removed.

Prewritten stuff serves two purposes for me.
They're fun to run when they cover things I could not have come up with myself.
They're good direction when I'm inexperienced with a system or setting.
I don't feel they lessen the workload at all, reading and memorizing is more work than homebrewing.

I mentioned it in a discord not long ago and it created some amount of conversation.
People will always be weird about it because it's convenient, and not a real issue unless the players know, but it IS taking away agency, and people don't like being confronted with that.

Find out what they want to do next session. At the end of every session, ask them what they want to do next. This is absolutely crucial for saving yourself time and wasted effort and ensuring that the entire group is on the same page about the next session’s general plan. They might choose to bite on a hook you’ve thrown out to them or come up with their own idea, but you need to know what kind of content to make for the next session. In a sandbox campaign, you only ever need to be one session ahead of the players. You don’t need to plot out vast narratives or design lands the PCs might someday reach; all you need to know is what they want to do next time, and then make your preparations accordingly. Remember, if you don’t need it for the next session, and you’re not having fun making it, stop working on it.

GMs, you're allowed to ask players at the end of sessions or between sessions "what are you guys planning on doing next session?" so you can focus your prep on that and not do a lot of unneccessary work on things they're not gonna do or see "just in case".

You see the "not giving a PC a name until level X" sometimes in certain OSR circles. It's a joke about lethality, no point in naming them if they're just gonna die to the first trap or ork they find basically.
I always found it kinda dumb because of how easy names are to come up with.
