I found the control of the brush to be superior to the fancy brush and it had a much finer point! I was like this $$$$ brush is crap.

This goes back to a known illustrator person mentoring me and telling me I needed the fancy watercolor brushes, and I hated them. Went back to the cheap brushes my watercolor teacher recommended and uses. And her paintings are amazing.

And Rachel Campos and Sean Duffy were the worst of these shows. But they represent the portion of Gen X that brought this about. He is the Transportation Secretary now and she is his wife, WTF? UGH.

There is definitely a large portion of my generation who still clung to their parents' ideologies on all things race, religion, sexuality, etc., despite things changing. Shallow pop culture didn't change that for them. I was lucky to have a mother who didn't pass that crap along.

I blame the pile of my generation who were not readers and clung to this drivel and did not recognize it as drivel. Never too late to pick up a pile of books and educate oneself or gather some empathy. I was a feral, latchkey, television kid too, but I read books.
