As the daughter of a nurse, it was an honor to walk with @nationalnurses.bsky.social
on the picket line in Houlton this morning. We need safe nurse/patient ratios and adequate pay and benefits for the nurses who work so hard to care for all of us.

I applaud the Maine Public Utilities Commission’s decision to reject the rate hike increase. Mainers are already paying some of the highest utility costs in the country. We need to be doing more to bring down the costs for Mainers who are already struggling to get ahead.

Most Mainers now able to renew REAL IDs online, officials say Secretary of State Shenna Bellows says most Maine residents will be able to do online REAL ID renewal.

Starting today- you can now renew your REAL ID online- 24/7 no appointment necessary! I’m proud of the work we’ve done to modernize the BMV. As your next governor, I’m going to make government work better to make your life easier.

We live in troubling times that demand courage and leadership. Throughout history, from the very beginning, we have been faced with questions that test our resolve and our unity. We have prevailed because of the strength of our shared values and the strength of the people we honor today.

He came home safe and became an American history teacher.
I’ll be thinking of Grandpa Bellows and how he put his life on the line to fight Hitler and the Nazis overseas and then came home to teach hundreds of students over a lifetime, just as so many other veterans returned home to serve.

It was great to join the Hallowell American Legion Post 6 for their ceremony to honor those who have served our country.

My late grandfather Bill Bellows shaped the leader I am today. He left college for service in WWII.

A great day for news coming from the Supreme Court!

My proudest accomplishment is the 7 years I spent on the executive committee for the marriage equality campaign. I'm glad that SCOTUS is not going to go back on their word, but let's be clear: the freedom to marry will always be protected in Maine

Thinking about the terrible deal Schumer and Senate Dems are about to do with Trump. If they can’t stand up now when the Constitution is in tatters, seniors and kids are hungry and industries are on the brink of disaster, when will they? Where’s the fight?

Everywhere I go people say they want to see leaders who won’t cave. It’s time to stand strong for what we believe in. At MSEA Friday night, I heard it a lot: when we fight, we win!

Maine students vote in first mock referendum election At Morse High School in Bath, one of the 78 schools that participated in Tuesday's mock election, students said they felt informed about the red flag referendum, less so about the voter ID proposal.

So much fun to travel around to schools yesterday and today to see students in action participating in Maine’s mock election. Maine students vote in first mock referendum election

The rainy day is here. We need to feed our neighbors - our kids, our seniors - the 170,000 Mainers who will be hungry without SNAP as we move into the holidays and then winter.

Thanks to the Knox county dems for a great afternoon! It’s always great to be with folks and get to hear what they think Maine’s next governor needs to know.

In the wake of this tragedy, we must affirm the strength of our community, our fortitude to continue, and what it means to care for our neighbors no matter the struggle. I was honored to join neighbors in the community garden remembrance project, as we look to bring light from the darkness.

Climate change is real, and Maine needs leaders who will take bold action to make Maine a leader in sustainability and climate resilience.

We had a great time in Boothbay last night talking about hope and courage.

I was honored when Abbe said I was one of the best listeners in politics because it’s core to who I am. As governor, I’ll listen first and always put the people of Maine over everything else.

Today, I’m joining the majority of Mainers in my support of Question 2, to bring extreme risk protection orders to our state. This law will save lives and Mainers deserve to know where the next Governor will stand on this critical issue.

Amazing turnout everywhere! I was in Yarmouth, Saco, South Portland & Portland today. 250 years ago today, after the burning of Portland by the British, our ancestors said, β€œNo King but God.” Today thousands of Mainers echoed our ancestors in saying No Kings. It was a good day for democracy.

I’m proud of where I come from. The working class taught me grit, gratitude, and how to stretch a dollar.

I’m fighting for a Maine where a hard day’s work means you can stand tall and sleep easy.

Spending time with Mainers, getting to hear what’s on their minds, is my favorite part of running. From Lewiston to Brooksville, folks are concerned about the cost of living, protecting health care and preserving our democracy.
