The wind and cold today are absolutely brutal. Has there ever been a longer winter than this one? Spent the morning distracting myself from the scary weather by making meatballs, then took a nap and now I’m printing pastina until the sun goes down.

Out in the darkness sweeping the the dusting of snow we got tonight off the driveway because I have snow trauma and I’m not fucking around this time

The Olympics opening ceremony has people dressed like Cupid & Psyche dancing around giant classical busts in display cases, this was made for me.

Day four of being stuck in the house because we can’t clear a path through the ice with the tools we have. I cannot stress how degrading it is to stand outside in 10 degree weather chipping at ice with garden shears. TBH might be one of the most isolating things I’ve experienced.

Winter storm has passed and the night is quiet and blanketed in snow. Made chicken soup, popcorn with extra butter and homemade hot chocolate. Been checking for my stray cat fam (aka "the oranges") all day; finally saw one of them in the snowy moonlight, emerging from the shelter I put out for them.

Two rounds of shoveling complete. Sleet can go straight to hell.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.
