On this date 105 years ago women in the US were finally granted the right to vote! Remember those who fought for our rights! They should be honored their efforts to elevate women from second class citizens that were properly of their husbands to equal citizens. Happy International Women’s Day!

The richest man in the world called Social Security a “Ponzi scheme.” Now his chainsaw is attacking the agency that makes sure people get their checks on time.

Instead of threatening Social Security, we need to expand it—and I’m supporting a bill to get that done.

35 years today the Capital Crawl took place to fight for the rights of people with disabilities. And now 35 years later the administration dismantles our rights and denies children with disabilities an education. Today is a sad day.

I would add also that right now or family is in the crosshairs of the shutdown of various disability related programs - both my husband and I have no clue how much longer we will be employed so we are being very frugal.
