A rock sits in the stream bed, tearing the delicate tissue of light, Disturbing the water, which does its best to flow smoothly around. On a day no one remembers (except maybe the rock) it broke from the weave of the earth and rolled into this flowing world, caused a mutter and chatter, and settled like a burr in silk Is it a better picture without the rock? Kangaroos I think, for me, it’s kangaroos all the way down. While the mothership is bounding over the earth, consuming and distilling grasses and leaves I am huddled inside skin and wool protected, smothered, pressing against the sides of myself with small feet. Can I stretch just another inch today, or is it just enough to eat, and sleep? I stop and catch my breath, considering, and further down, I feel a flutter of movement. All that said, reading the rest of your posts in the replies I absolutely agree that protected spaces are also essential and always have been. There are public spaces and there are private ones.

I like trying to see the other sides of something, whether or not I agree. However, when hate speech comes into play that's not a side - when you try to make people stop existing, it's not a side. That is just hate and violence and should should be denied space like any other violent act.

You realize that bill creates a standing army that can be set upon US citizens at will without triggering the usual repercussions, because technically it is not a branch of the military
