As someone who doesn't really care about PvP, DeadMan is more like DeadContent to me. This will probably be the first year I play Leagues, but having multiple DeadMan events is just a big yawn from me.

Honestly I would really just love to see more frequent QOL updates than seasonal events.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

Auburn vale totems for fletching is really chill. It’s been my go-to chill content. You can do full totem runs, but it’s also really easy to just chop and fletch by the yews and just do the two closest totems on a second monitor.

Took a brief detour to acquire Energy Surge on my Mesmer before continuing from Yak's Bend. I am going to play through all the campaigns in canonical order with the specific restriction that I must not encounter any mission outpost early. This still means I can get some elite skills early though.

Also the C++ "lambdas are objects" thing is kind of weird to wrap one's head around at first, but I feel like it ends up being a pretty great abstraction for lambdas in a systems language. So that is another option for closures/lambdas if you want to think that far ahead.

Keeping function values as cleaned up function pointers is the way to go IMO! It especially becomes nice for func->addr->func conversions, which gets tricky with function/closure mixing.

I avoided lambdas in my toy systems language, and it made codegen easy apart from one hiccup in the C backend.

Although I love this game dearly, I can recognize that the writing in Prophecies is... really bad. Like, I have gone through the post-searing Ascalon section of Prophecies more times than I can count, and I still couldn't tell you what the fuck is going on until the end of Nolani Academy.
