The Portland Frog army has now infiltrated Tulsa, OK and they’ve made an unlikely alliance with the T-Rex infantry and Sharks on Hoverboards mercenary forces.
This is truly terrifying.

Friends and comrades made a crowdfunding page for my family.
It’s really hard to post this. I know that there are a lot of other important issues asking for money but things have gotten to the point where we need to open ourselves up to your support.
Thank you for your consideration.

But Thune is refusing to negotiate when the government is open too. So no negotiation - open or closed. Got it.

Poster with a floral design and the message 'We stand with immigrant families,' featuring the No Kings logo at the bottom.
Protect your community and stand with immigrant workers and customers. Help local businesses put up signs marking “Staff Only” areas that ICE cannot enter without a warrant. Together, we can slow ICE down: act.indivisible.org/...

My friend is a teacher in South Carolina, and one year Stephen Colbert paid for every single one of the teacher projects/wishlists in her county without any fanfare

Bass: I just signed an executive directive that puts all city departments and leadership on notice to protect Angelenos—essentially from the federal government.
We’re also filing a FOIA request because we want to know: Who are these masked men, and why are they masked in the first place?

Delightful. Love that French gets used in the first paragraph. Thanks — the perfect way to start the morning. ☕️

We’re calling for a Florida boycott over the inhumane “Alligator Alcatraz” detention site. Cancel your family vacation and choose a different destination this summer.

A resplendent crowd of more than 10,000 people—young and old — waving some incredible signage in Santa Barbara. I was too busy gawking and singing to take pix. #nokings

Nonviolent Political Actions for Writers
1) Writing-speeches, letters, statements, flyers, leaflets, group letters, petitions...plus your poems, stories, plays, and commitment to making art as a person who desires a better world.
2) Banners bumperstickers, t-shirts, protest signs, sky-writing, sidewalk chalk, broadcasts, social media posts, articles, editorials, displays of language in public places.
3) Symbolic Acts-pickets, marches, prayer circles, vigils, mock awards, delivering symbolic objects (pies, dildos, dead flowers, glasses of water delivered by citizens of Flint, MI, to their local politicians, etc), displays of flags or other symbolic objects (in the Polish Solidarity movement, members wore electronic "resistors" from radios), public performances, satire, costumes (pussy hats at the Women's March; nuns' habits worn by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, etc.), disrobings, die-ins, mock funerals, effigies, puppets.
4) Public disapproval-whistles, bullhorns, assemblies, sit-ins, stand-ins, ride-ins, solidarity with those being attacked (Angel Action against the Westboro Baptist Church, US Veterans acting as "Human Shields" to protect the Standing Rock protesters), walk-outs, silence, withholding approval, turning one's back, boycott, sanctuary, total personal non-cooperation, conscientious objector status.
5) Witness-At any level of action, remember that action speaks louder with words. You not only have to be willing to participate, you must be willing to testify. You are here on this earth at this time. Don't act like you're not a part of what's going on.
I made this list of Nonviolent Political Actions for Writers for a course I taught during TFG 1.0 on Writers & Resistance. Please share. You do not need to be a writer to participate.

Judge Reinstates Product Safety Regulators Fired by Trump
It’s the latest setback for President Trump in his effort to purge perceived political opponents from independent agencies.
A federal judge reversed President Trump’s firings of the three Democratic members of the five-member Consumer Product Safety Commission, which monitors the safety of products like toys, cribs and electronics. https://trib.al/MlgVmOK

Walking down 12th street and seeing ballet star Rudolph Nureyev resplendent in Versace walking on the other side of the street. I gawked. “Helloooo” he shouted, and I mumbled “hi” back.
