List titled "Holiday movies" that includes Scrooged, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Die Hard, Home Alone, Love Actually, and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.
I watch these movies over the holidays every year...and need to refresh the list.
Any recommendations for holiday movies made in the last 20 years?

Screenshot of text saying "BlackBerry PlayBook," with the latter word underlined by a red squiggle.
Sad to think this could've once been a household name.
Now, even spellcheck thinks it doesn't exist.

One physical book, titled "Obscure: Ghostmaker Book 1" and one e-book on a Kindle, titled "Oblivious: Ghostmaker Book 2." Both feature action-ready characters on the cover and are authored by Krista Walsh.
My favourite series of the year, by @kristawalshauthor.bsky.social.
Each character felt real, uniquely responding to the relentless trials & trauma of magic turned against them.
The world felt real, too: set in modern-day #Ottawa, complete with federal government bureaucracy.
Recommended!

A friend highly recommends the Ember mug vs. mug warmer but at $100+ that seems a bit much.

If the location doesn't matter to the story, then changing it would avoid some reader head-scratching.
But I'm guessing you chose it for a reason, so that's still valid!

Sparkling red 20-sided dice spilling out of a cloth pouch onto the D&D Player's Handbook.
I bought this D20 because it's a local maker, and it looked amazing under bright toy show lights.
Tried using it at our D&D host's house, which is lit by a torch held by a passing raven, and couldn't see any roll.
Back to the die hunt!

A narrow house with orange panelling sits between other buildings, the space between them giving it a quiet solitude.
Who'd have thought this nondescript, orangey house with no signage would contain the world's best baked goods?

Four-quadrant Anakin and Padme meme. Anakin on the top left says, "..PCs attack and are almost killed...creatures take all precious metals and gems from their unconscious bodies...backpacks shredded beyond repair..." Padme on the top right says, "That didn't actually happen, right?" and she repeats herself on the bottom right after Anakin gives her a disturbing look.

Pottery coffee mug, painted black on top with a watercolour-style image of mountains and sun. It sits on a wooden Back to the Future coaster.

Five books on a wooden table: Just Another Day at the Office by Rob Fitzel; Soul Thread and Bone Threads by Grace R. Pringle, The Reluctant Barbarian by John Haas, and Modern Hauntings by Stephanie Anne.
At today's Ottawa Small Press Book Fair, I learned more about writing and book marketing than getting pitched on these books โ every author was so generous with their time.
But still looking forward to reading them!
