Friends, it's only February and my calendar is already filling up for October. Please don't expect to see too much of me in the fall 😅

Thanks to impostor syndrome, it's easy for me to tell myself that all my success is only the result of supportive friends/family. But when I get comments on my posts, DMs, etc from folks who've actually read my books it's such an incredible feeling. Like ppl are reading my books & supporting me 🥰

I joke that my cats help me write, but it's not a joke. I literally just got screamed at for trying to leave my desk to go to the bathroom. The screamer in question:

maybe this just goes to show how utterly unhinged I am, but I think it would be hilarious if we had Kidz Bop-ified versions of notoriously disgusting/unwatchable/etc horror movies. Like I think it would be hilarious to see a family friendly version of the human centipede

Look, I may not have read all of the books on my shelves, but I've at least finished reading all the books from my latest trip to my fav used book store. So, that means I get to go buy more books now, right?

If I could channel my stress/anxiety into energy I could probably power my entire neighbourhood 🙃

Had the phrase "let's get down to business" in one of my WIPs and had to delete it because my brain kept going "to defeat the huns" while I was editing and I knew it would probably distract millennial readers as well

Me: I need to cut back from in-person events.
Also me: Oh look! New volunteer shifts with the rescue!

With the stuff that I write, I feel it's important to remind people that I am, in fact, a vegetarian. If I ever end up on the evening news, it won't be because I ate some long pork (although I do know how to cook it properly, but that's another matter entirely)

I finished reading all the books Mark got me for Xmas. That means he has to buy me more books now, right?

Been looking at some old stories from back when I was in my teens/20s for a larger project and it's so cool to see I was adding horror to my sci-fi and fantasy stories before I even realized I liked horror. Guess it's always been a part of me.

Hey email scammers! It's really obvious that you're not actually reading my books when you claim to have read a book that isn't even out yet 😉

When I came out as genderfluid & started going by she/they I knew certain people in my life would never use anything other that she/her. But the most conservative of them accidently referred to me as "he" when they were really tired the other day &I certainly wasn't going to correct them😈
