Oh no, I completely understand why. It's a symptom of a failing of society on multiple levels. The hard limits as you mention, the prioritization of younger artists & audiences (who have less money & experience), cynicism, changing tastes in general, etc.

Oh man, I completely forgot about this DC team I made up in 2019! I think the premise was that it'd be the only book they'd publish for like three years and would serve as an animated-series style introduction to the universe.

Free advice: As soon as you're done with layouts on a comic, keep the momentum going and finish it.

I put this project on hold a couple of years ago, and only have an extremely vague idea of what I meant to do after page 1.
