Really like the look of the Wensleydale

The local swifts have gone and my emotions are mixed. I’m so happy that they came back, sad that they’ve gone and worried that the nest site may go the journey. The husband doesn’t know it yet but I want a couple of swift bricks before next swift season!

I love birdwatching but I often don’t know what I’m looking at! Observation and knowing that something looks different is the key to it! Really well spotted 😁

I had the most amazing visit to the Festival of Books at Ushaw yesterday. What a treat to see the Big Library. Open for one day only and it was amazing to see.

Hawes was packed so we doodled over to Semer Water for a picnic. The Spar and the Creamery did us proud for picnic supplies 😋

Not great photos. Bird id please. Large but slightly smaller than Gannets. Have similar flight style. Been chasing Terns to drop their catch

I once made potted Stilton and port 🤢 what a waste of two lovely foodstuffs!

I feel a drive to the cheese factory coming on 😋 A massive lump of Kit Calvert and an even bigger one of Wensleydale Blue required 😋 My brother is meh over ginger too…..but he’ll try more than one ginger biscuit when I bake them!

Cheese and marmite is a perfect combination 😋

I’m not keen on the mushed about ones either. Taste too processed……..however, the Wensleydale with ginger (just ginger) is lovely with a slab of Christmas cake!
