My cross stitch project is progressing, but won’t be finished for a few more days. But I still wanted to post something on #halloween. So here’s another pair of cute pumpkins.

The stitching wouldn’t have been ready even if I hadn’t spent a few hours painting these.

With the bookmarks I cheat. I searched “cross stitch bookmark fabric” on Amazon and these pre-edged ones popped up. Then I use a tiny 70x75 mm Nurge hoop because I have nothing else to hold something that small.
Fraying is the worst.

You never really grow up. Your toys just get more expensive.

Sharing this today. This picture hangs in my living room, and I look at it every day. It is my grandfather and his brothers before coming home from WWII.

The nazis were the bad guys, still are today, and still will be tomorrow.

You’re preaching to the choir. I spend a long time agonizing over symbol choice. If they’re next to each other, they need to be very different. If I choose a circle for something, whatever symbol is next to it should not be a circle. And stay away from the complicated symbols entirely.

It’s called Fairy Teatime, because names are hard. The blond fairy’s hair is inspired by Magrat Garlick of DiscWorld, whose hair is described as a haystack in a gale.

Any suggestions as to what these gals are named? Like I said, names are hard.
