A must-read: Patrick Chandler Brown — named after the PCB chemicals dumped in his community — purchased the plantation where his great-grandfather was enslaved and is in the process of transforming it to serve farmers like him

When high profile figures are shot in broad daylight, this should shine a light on the 117 other Americans who die from this public health crisis everyday.

If you're a young person from MI or VA, apply to our Youth Advocacy Training Program by December 9 to learn about your state's laws & legislative process. You’ll put these skills into practice by meeting with lawmakers to push for gun violence prevention. ⤵️

But we all lose, when the most vulnerable populations are blamed for the issues created by those in power to get richer. Don’t buy into the lie the people who just want to get richer are trying to sell you

29.11.2024 14:16 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0When middle class families can only afford to send their daughter to college on a soccer scholarship, it’s easier for politicians to tell parents to blame trans kids who want to play sports (like any other kid) for the reason their kid didn’t get a scholarship and can’t go to college w/out loans
29.11.2024 14:16 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0In the richest country in the world, children’s safety and future are not invested in.
It’s a lot easier for politicians to blame the most vulnerable people, than stop taking checks from the businesses that that profit from the status quo & actually fix these big problems
Children are struggling bc parents work hard & still can’t afford to live in a good school district
bc college is unaffordable even for the middle class
bc students get shot at school
Kids aren’t unsafe bc all kids want to use the bathroom of the gender they identify with
The way I completely forgot about the Nestor narrative as well

All these ppl want a government that can deliver for their families & businesses. Nancy Mace is wrong, hateful, & also just not that smart.
