I suppose my one fear with an adaptation would be the possible romanticization of carmilla and laura which would be... losing the plot entirely, and isn't the representation you want for a f/f relationship but I digress lol

lemme pay this forward by also recommending one of the best to ever do it: xiv.quest which features the full msq, dialog trees, and optional dialog between quests as well as some side content. there's some good people out here putting in the work to make xiv's lore and story easily avalable to all

tho I guess it shouldn't be surprising. blatant depictions of sapphic infatuation? central characters that aren't men? now that's unpalatable /s

to this day it still perplexes me that there's no good carmilla movie adaptations (at least that I've found.) which is a shame, given how it had just as much of an influence on the modern perception of vampires as dracula did

Tbh! it's so nice to have another option. I do get bored of doing hunts pretty quickly, but!! sometimes I get burnt out on doing the same alliances over and over, so the hunts are such a reprieve. especially towards the end of an expac...

ofc he just went back on for us both and got us out upgrades after I went to bed, but it's so funny how serious we were about doing it immediately after patch and we just wooosh~ completely forgot we did that prep work. but hey I have 2 augmented pieces now

another fun fact: maybe a month ago? the fiance and I did a ton of hunts to cap out our nuts so we could buy a tomestone armor upgrade mat FIRST thing on patch day, and uh... hehe. we completely forgot about it until after we logged off last night.

legitimately... I would rather run sphene ex with minimum ilvl AND with pf randos than fool with that stupid second boss and his misdirection phase. it's so obnoxious. I learned to cope with it but anyway I'm glad I can largely avoid it now. :)

Thank heck it's not just me!! the second boss's misdirection mechanic + the windy paths??? I will never get good at it. I use healer/whm privilege and just dash to the edge regardless of if I hit the bleed+dmg down debuff or not and heal through it because I was tired of stressing about it tbh
