Today is day 25 of the Trump Justice Department refusing to release the full Epstein files, violating the law in the process.

All of the files need to be released immediately so that all of the survivors can get justice and accountability.

I think Trump has *no idea* how to develop or evaluate policy proposals.

Even the legal justification for drone strikes on senior members of al Qaeda and associated forces (ostensibly covered under the 2001 AUMF) states that strikes are justified only “when capture is infeasible”

For all that I think major media has done a decent job of covering these particular war crimes committed by the Trump administration, I do keep getting the sense that its journalists still believe we're gradually getting questions answered. I see the opposite—the number of questions is only growing.

It's amazing how so many billionaires - who have WAY more money than they could possibly need in 500 lifetimes - REALLY want to avoid paying small slivers of tax money to benefit a common good like social safety services for less fortunate countrymen within the society that made them billionaires.

Not only do we routinely see kids dying in ICE custody, now they’re missing nearly 1000 people who were being held in Alligator Alcatraz?

We can only hope it’s not a Brubaker moment.

If the concern is authoritarianism, I struggle to think of more than a very few things a state can do that are more intrusive of human rights, dignity and freedom than forced pregnancy.

A disorienting moment: Trump is consolidating autocratic power in areas where there's an easy path to do so. But in other areas he's facing deep institutional resistance and people are refusing to abandon the rule of law. Here he's weak and failing.
