The takeaways from this were fascinatingly unsurprising. About what you'd expect from a company grade officer.

"Bumbling" is too kind. It's like listening to my mom when she would wash down oxy with a glass of bourbon.

Embrace the echo chamber. It tells you what you want to hear and validates whatever completely uninformed opinions you might hold dear.

I'm sure he has an excuse. Whether it would make sense to anyone but him is another matter.

For years, I heard people complain about others who landed key jobs because they were runners. They could run farther, faster, and longer than others and that was often equated to #leadership ability.

Move over runners. The #overhead #yeet has arrived.

#DoctrineMan is like the Cold War. It ended, but it didn't end. It was always stewing on the back burner, waiting for the right time to be annoying again.

The #newplane smell is gone from both the F-22 and F-35, and the F-15EX is like that kid at the dance no one wants for a partner.

They all know what they did was wrong, they just don't care. They don't think anyone can touch them. And they might not be wrong... at least for now.

She also knows full well that operational details are classified. They all do.

But... they won't even address that. And Pete is on camera attacking the Atlantic and denying it all.

We live in Bizarro world.

The initial response to this was sadly #predictable. I've come to expect much more. They had a perfect #opportunity to say something like, "𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙝, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙛𝙜𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙊𝙇 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧," but didn't.

Personally, I look forward to seeing a bunch of people who probably don't have drivers licenses or have never looked under the hood of a car try to make sense of all the repair parts the services purchase each year.

Sometimes, they're not meant to be funny. Sometimes, they tell the story within the story. Sometimes, the humor bites a bit deep. Sometimes, they just need to say what's not being said.

If you put the heavy lifting up front and properly #frame the problem, solving it tends to be a much more direct process. That doesn’t necessarily mean it will be easy, just that you have a clearer perspective on the #root problem to be solved and a better #alignment of #effort toward that problem.

Why is problem-solving so challenging? Usually, it's because people don't slow down long enough to make sure they're solving the right problem before launching into a solution. Even the best intentions can go wrong when you're solving the wrong problem.
