How People Learn to Become Resilient Resilience is a set of skillsβ€”and psychologists know how you can learn them.

Studying resilience in kids. Interesting work that started a long time ago. Would not have identified with this, or even considered it, but? Maybe.

Like @vmc54.bsky.social, I'm grateful for the sky as it changes, when I look up and see something new, or even better when I look down and see something beautiful in the sky.

Good. I know US citizens and permanent residents both who were stopped arbitrarily in Southern California. It’s wrong, it profiles people in violation of every non-discrimination policy.

Exhibit one - Dyson air purifier/fan. I don’t know where the remote is, and it certainly can’t login on the work network, so I can turn it on and off and point it manually.

Part of it is that it’s a different fight but part of it is that it’s a completely new range, volume, and communication capability that’s available to way more people than before. At least the IEDs were immobile after placement, right? It took the IED defeat task forces a lot of work. This? More.

Radioactive wasp nest found at South Carolina site where U.S. once made nuclear bombs Employees who routinely check radiation levels at the Savannah River Site near Aiken found a wasp nest on July 3 on a post near tanks where liquid nuclear waste is stored.

So I assume this means Ant-Man and The Wasp has some real potential? My newest pin, β€œscrew lab safety, I want superpowers” may have some legs! Have they checked for any spider webs? Because I think radioactive spiders led to Spider-Man, right?

How to Lose the Drone War American military doctrine is stifling innovation.

The U.S. military is investing in this Pacific island. So is China. New U.S. radar sites are designed to keep China in check. But Chinese developments, some with questionable connections, could create vulnerabilities.

2) Why is Facebook so bad at taking my money? We've been working with them on an ad account issue for five weeks with no resolution.

Today in 1996, China conducted its 45th and final nuclear weapon test, an underground explosion measuring between 1 to 5 kilotons at the Lop Nor Nuclear Test Base. This was also the last nuclear test by any permanent member of the UN Security Council. Two months later, China signed the CTBT.
