After a hiatus for the holidays, I'm back to working on Ashbound and posting weekly devlog updates! This week I worked on incorporating a skill tree!

Omg this looks AMAZING!

Growing up it was always Mario saving Peach, Link saving Zelda- I never related to these heteronormative storylines. #queer representation in video games is definitely growing, (e.g. #TheLastOfUs and #LifeIsStrange) but there should be more. This motivates me as a #gamedev. What motivates you?

Ashbound Weekly Devlog Post- 12/19/2025:

This week I worked on Elliot's diary. Throughout the game Owen will find torn out pages of Elliot's diary, which will help depict their relationship and love for each other. 🏳️‍🌈

This week I continued working on game combat. I worked on improving the animations and responses (see video). I also worked on the HUD a bit (top left corner) because I decided to implement an XP mechanism to unlock new skills. #gaymer #gamedev #indiedev
