absolutely bizarre.
i'm happy to explain this to anyone in person, because like... I don't get it.

when faced with the question of "does it make people comfortable" or "does it ultimately serve their class interests", the latter is the logical conclusion.
but liberals cannot comprehend that. they stumble and trip and argue over stupid ass language making people feel "comfortable"
motivation can be difficult, especially when faced with liberal crocodile tears.
their lack of action speaks louder than their pearl clutching.
the liberal mindset is one of inaction, of being overly sensitive to language for nonsensical reasons, and only one of complaining.
kinda funny how GNU developers seem to suck at 3.x releases
gcc4 >>>>>>>> gcc3
gnome3 is... well. utter shite.
and now add gimp to the list.
after spending some time trying to reproduce a serious performance regression, just using GIMP 2 made me realise just how slow and shitty GIMP 3 is
10.08.2025 14:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0good lord gimp 3.x is rather disappointing.
they definitely did not UI/UX test this thing properly before kicking it out the door because it's constantly broken and/or slower than 2.x
can probably get away with "doing business as" or whatever that legal shit i know absolutely nothing aboot might entail.
that's future me's problem.
the actual legal company name is "shrine software consulting ltd." which is just fuckin stupid but whatever, the two hardest problems in computer science are cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors.
07.08.2025 04:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0also, lol @ the cheeky placeholder description that somehow wormed its way into production. the one up on google at time of writing still isn't 100% correct, but still better
07.08.2025 04:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0good lord. been so busy that two weeks just zipped by. between getting theshrine.ca ready to go, contract work, and all of the other stuff... bah. i need a clone of myself to get shit done.

Again: the business that is toxic and should never be interacted with is www.conexus.ca
solidarity forever with those in need.
pro tip: hovering over someone, who is not well, on the phone being like "IMA CALL MOMMY AND DADDY (the cops) CAUSE SOMEONE'S BEEN NAUGHTY!" is not a way to de-escalate a situation or help them.
23.07.2025 22:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Apparently calmly asserting control over a harm reduction situation and wearing a hammer and sickle t shirt constitutes as being "disrespectful" towards Conexus Credit Union employees, and thus they can deny business.
Congratulations, you've just denied my business. And recommendations. Forever.
amidst all of the political turmoil and important questions being asked, there is a far more important discussion i feel people aren't having:
how the fuck did keith richards last longer than ozzy osbourne??
for better or worse, am increasing my public profile.
i'm careful to cover my tracks, so as to avoid harmful doxxing and NDA shit, but there's always that feeling that something was missed.
i expected all of my silly commie apparel to result in heckles, or at worst, the shit kicked out of me, but i have received nothing but positive feedback whilst pounding the pavement.
12.07.2025 02:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0today, whilst out and about, *five* zoomers complimented me on my hammer and sickle t-shirt. two of them openly said they think capitalism is broken and needs to go.
the younger generations aren't buying the bullshit anymore. nah uh.
Here we go: #GodotEngine 4.5 is ready for wider testing with its first beta snapshot! ๐ค ๐งช
As usual, it's feature-packed so we wrote a wordy blog post showcasing the main highlights in this new version.
Please report any issue you encounter while testing on GitHub!

when you stop suffixing your chatGPT saved chats with " (Research)" because that's what they all end up having
this tool is wacky good at pulling up information quickly.
AI tools are by no means perfect. i see them pump out a lot of really weird shit, but one thing i like about chatGPT is that for some of its longer, thorough answers to very complicated and layered questions, it provides citations to various articles it used to assemble its response
10.06.2025 06:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0the ethical and philosophical implications are still being explored, both by myself internally and others in written text, but in terms of material, practical effects, they are very real and very pleasing

this province has a strong history of workers' rights and unions, which eventually led to our beloved but underfunded healthcare system.
and i think it's about time we start continuing down that path.
