I remember watching that show as a young person and thinking, "What the hell? A tv presentation that makes some kind of sense?"

I show this clip in my Environmental Communication class as a perfect example of "walk & talk" #scicomm, & it always prompts a lively discussion answering my question, "How did they do this?" Also gets across the importance of pre-planning, especially if you only get one chance to do it right. 🧪

Yeah, I'm really glad I don't live in BC - the politics would make me crazy. Horgan is a great example of how the system doesn't work.

And it's hard not to think the main factor here is greed - yes, adding 40 million consumers will mean more healthcare profits, more gun sales, etc.

I'm not sure it's "corruption", but it really is the way our system works. There are always people who think that getting a slice of the big money lying around will make their lives better...

It's only "not corruption" because that's our system.
