I don’t think disappointment is the right word here. Disgust, outrage, offense. He may have the votes, but that doesn’t mean I accept legitimacy of his points, policies, values or lack of them. My greatest-generation soldier, officer, DOD/DIA civilian father is rolling over in his grave.

I recommend an old show , “The French Village” about resistance and collaboration during German/Nazi occupation during WWII. Fabulous story telling, great characters, inspiring resistance.

I am suspicious of SAVE for another reason linked to immigration enforcement. By current US law, citizens are NOT required to carry proof of citizenship or show it if asked by CBP/ICE. I worry that SAVE may lead to requiring POC for citizens making non-citizens easier to round up. Am I paranoid?
