Aimee Genell and I are launching a Boston area colloquium on the history of international law. The aim is to bring together historians of international law from across the greater Boston region.

Please email a copy of your submission to mamolea@bu.edu by Dec. 31, 2024 to be considered.

Please circulate this call to historians of international law based in New England. We hope to eventually extend the colloquium beyond Boston.

Because this initiative aims to build a community of scholars in the greater Boston area, preference will be given to those who can present in person.

We are now issuing a call for papers to be presented in 2025. The call is open to all scholars, covering all areas of international law and all periods of history.

This past year, we organized talks at Boston University's Pardee School of Global Studies featuring Lauren Benton and Umut Özsu and we have several more events planned for next year, including a paper series hosted at Harvard Law School’s Institute for Global Law & Policy.
