Actually, after cleaning, readings are stable and within tolerance. There is a copper track under the carbon. The carbon itself augments this, providing smoothness without affecting conductivity. I love learning shit this way.

I'm not sure that can be fixed. I guess I'll see which ones are the better ones and keep those. I don't need all 5 channels.

Is it carbon or is it dirt? Probably both. Not ideal.

Looks like I'm going to be fixing these up instead of acquiring new ones. They are 10k logarithmic slide potentiometers with travel of 45mm, 60mm chassis, 3 pins total. Hopefully some IPA will clean up the track.

FML I have to replace all 10 faders. The old ones are old, the new ones are linear, when they should be logarithmic. 🙄 Past-me making naive errors. Also they need to be Alps or copies of, because of the footprint.
