I like to argue that this was the first hacker movie because it features scenes where the characters obtain the same alarm system as their target to analyze and bypass it.

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.

Someone recently posted a thread about an 8 bit computer from the 80s beating ChatGPT at chess. I'll try to find it.

They make up all of their output. They're "making up (likely) stuff" machines.

They also don't have any way to understand spatial information like that of a chess board, which is why they are all very bad at things like chess.

Tech billionaires when they invent AGI and ask it how to solve humanity’s problems and it says embrace diversity and billionaires shouldn’t exist.

While i would agree that "LLMs can't help experts in their field," two other thoughts come to mind:

1. A great many people are not experts.

2. Even for those people who are experts, many of their tasks do not require their expertise. (All the supporting work.)
