Go my Bothriolepis... This year's fish pecan pie! Bothriolepis was a peculiar-looking placoderm from the Devonian period or the Paleozoic. It had two long pointed pectoral fins and silly little eyes on top of its head.

Two Denversaurus meet at sunset. Referenced from a photo I took in Montana this summer.

Denversaurus belongs to the ankylosaurian family nodosauridae. Unlike ankylosauridae, nodosaurids lack a tail club and many have shoulder spikes.

Thank you! The muscles were quite time consuming, but the skeletal was actually pretty quick! It helps to have a lot of good references.

I've discovered I quite enjoy doing skeletals, I'll definitely be doing more soon. The muscles were quite a bit more tedious, but I like how it turned out overall.

Homotherium and Smilodon were the last known surviving members of this lineage, going extinct in the late Pleistocene.

Homotherium belongs to the cat subfamily Machairodontinae, which split from the lineage of all living cats about 20 million years ago. Another well-known Machairodont is Smilodon, the saber-toothed cat (not a tiger!)
