12.11.2025 11:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank thing is huge π
12.11.2025 11:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I donβt drink coffee at all, but this mug is looks great, and I love that Steven Universe mugs are out there.
11.11.2025 20:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0IRRC this was Julia? Daily trivia sounds really fun.
04.11.2025 15:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs fun to see a smiling pumpkin
01.11.2025 23:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That one on the left is simple???
01.11.2025 17:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think it is supposed to come to NSO soon!
25.10.2025 16:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also I never got to play a ton of Double Dash. I really should at some point.
25.10.2025 14:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm trying a bunch of different characters in Mario Kart World. I tend to pick Yoshi a lot though. My favorite one is usually whatever is most recent, but I really like Mario Kart DS.
25.10.2025 14:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Mentioned this before on the data science hangout I believe, but Iβm obsessed with Mario Kart.
25.10.2025 01:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I donβt really think about commenting my code that much. A lot of the time I think βthis should be pretty self-explanatoryβ though my code is also relatively simple. Iβm not really a software engineer. I just like R for data manipulation and plotting.
25.09.2025 14:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree. This is pretty big reason why I donβt use Bluesky as much as I thought I would.
06.09.2025 12:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0U.S. employers added 22,000 jobs in August and the unemployment rate ticked up to 4.3 percent.

Weirdly enough, I have the same experience when people say βexactβ or βexactlyβ. I always hear it like βEc-ZACH-tβ
22.08.2025 17:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That must be really confusing lol.
22.08.2025 10:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But that difference could just be due to the limitations of the model and noise in the data set. I do intuitively think that moderate candidates are likely to do better, but WAR models donβt seem like the best way to show that, unless Iβm completely misreading them.
17.08.2025 18:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I might be misunderstanding these WAR models, but they seem to me like they first build a model that accounts for fundraising, partisan lean, incumbency, etc, and then attribute the difference between the model and actual results to the strength of the candidates.
17.08.2025 18:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0This may or may not be because of AI, but I notice that a lot of LinkedIn posts follow the same general structure and tone, probably to optimize for engagement.
17.08.2025 18:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Added salt is seriously the biggest trap ever. Why did we evolve to like it so much???
14.08.2025 15:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No one hates things more than fans of those things.
14.08.2025 15:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, following instead of connecting feels more appropriate for people outside of the immediate network.
08.08.2025 21:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0LinkedIn is frustrating in that unless you have Premium, you can only send a few personalized invites a month. Ideally they would be free for everyone. Ideally personalized invites would be free and everyone would add a note when they wanted to connect.
08.08.2025 17:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fixing code would actually be fun if was more like a Mario game.
27.07.2025 23:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ngl when I first came across this I thought of SpongeBob and Patrick going into the treedome for the first time and being unable to breathe air.
27.07.2025 23:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My afternoon slump has always been frustrating, but this is so much worse.
24.07.2025 11:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0On a more serious note, ggplot2 is my favorite visualization tool by far.
10.06.2025 01:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, now ggplot2 can go off to college.
10.06.2025 01:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also, there is a potential limitation to this dataset. There was only 1 earthquake recorded in each of 2011 and 2012, while hundreds were recorded in subsequent years. This makes me wonder if the dataset is incomplete. I don't think it's likely that those early years had one earthquake each.
15.05.2025 00:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It was fun to experiment with this kind of graph, anyway. Here's my github: github.com/Zach-Nabavia... Thanks to @libbyheeren.bsky.social for curating this week's dataset.
