Turntable playing ozzy osbourne the ultimate sin album

Many of ‘my lot’ will be dusting off their sabbath albums today, but I’m going for this, which came out when I was 13 and I think is a brilliant album. Transports me back in time to a really exciting time in metal music.

I’m similarly irritated by people who I know have heard (at most) 1 sabbath album and couldn’t name more than 3 solo songs going ‘oh, what a tragic loss’ …

The Wembley shows on this tour are probably the best maiden gigs I’ve ever seen … but I’ve told you that story before:)

To answer a question, yes they recreated the entire stage show for the maiden England tour, it was amazing, but the setlist was worse. Unfathomably, they included afraid to shoot strangers, and didn’t include still life or killers.

When my eldest was about 3, he loved Europe ( I was listening to them a lot at the time) and for a time doing his bedtime went a lot more smoothly if I adopted a Swedish accent and paraded into his room like a rock god saying ‘hey, its joey tempest, doing your bedtime … let’s rock the night!’

Go see them live, I defy you to not have a good time and leave with a smile on your face.
