Another story that must be told:

An ICE agent grabbed Merwil Gutiérrez. One of his fellow agents said, “No, he’s not the one.”

Merwil Gutiérrez is a 19-year-old asylum applicant who lives in the Bronx. He was the “wrong one.” ICE wasn’t there looking for him.

“Take him anyway,” came the reply.

The call to action feels hollow. We do need to know what is happening, but there is little we can do to stop it with the Republicans selling their souls to the MAGA (which is not conservative) ideology.

AOC is by FAR better spoken than either Hilary (~DNC embodied) or Kamala (~cop) - she carries the “I am a common person, like you” quality that is absolutely necessary. Trump uses that “I’m just like you, I get you” kind of persona (even though he is not).

But the DNC would never allow it.

I just learned that 3 in 4 workers make at least $17, that’s impressive compared to pre-pandemic wages.

NEW: @aclu.org obtained ICE's "Alien Enemies Act Validation Guide," confirming all it takes to be sent to rot in prison in El Salvador is being Venezuelan and 1) having a tattoo an ICE officer says is a "gang tattoo" and 2) displaying "logos," "symbols" or clothes an ICE officer says are gang signs.

The thing law school really impressed upon me is that all of this stuff is made up. When we talk about things being illegal, we are simply talking about an agreement. “Legality” does not matter when the underlying concept is no longer agreed upon.
