Lz holds her tight.

"No need." She keeps holding wy with one hand and snakes the other between them to rub wy's belly. "Wei ying, i think our periods have synchronized.

Wy chuckles wetly.

Wy snaps at lz.

Lz glares at wy.

They stare at each other til wy's bottom lip starts trembling.

She sniffs.

Lz, to her horror, finds that her own eyes are welling up.

"Lan zhan," wy whines, putting a hand low on her stomach

They're not fighting, tho they both know something's off. But lz doesn't feel like talking and wy avoids conflict like the plague.

So they kind of avoid each other for a couple of days, until it all comes crashing down when wy forgets to do the dishes and lz reminds her.

Lz does see that wy seems irritable and snappy, but wy is a grad student so lz thinks it's simply school stress.

As for herself, lz has also been busy with her studies and acclimating to living together (wy is not as tidy as lan huan), so she just shuts it all off, including wy.

wlw #wangxian have been living together for a few weeks when it happens: their periods sync.

They've already been dating for 8 months so it shouldn't be a surprised, but the weeks since wy moved into lz's apartment have been so busy neither of them notices the signs.
