Neither a Steve nor a Vickers or a Mustache
Heading out to shovel now!
23.02.2026 21:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah I think my kids have been trained to dislike catchy melodies; whereas, that might be the first thing that grabs me.
03.02.2026 21:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm way out of the loop on at least 80% of the nominees. Mind you, I'm not anti-pop music. I love a good pop song. e.g., I didn't know any Bad Bunny songs or what he even looked like until the Grammys (still don't know any of his songs)
03.02.2026 18:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My wife and daughters like awards shows to see the celebrities. They barely care about who wins.
I wouldn't watch any of them on my own
lol, for sure. I throw all the stale Gen Z memes back in my 16-year-old son's face just to annoy him, including 6-7, skibbity toilet, etc.
01.02.2026 16:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, so they can draft a Left Wing that the coach plays 11 minutes a night and ruins!
24.01.2026 16:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree but I think the problem starts higher than that. JD is stupid, petty and venal.
23.01.2026 17:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I follow you because you're a unique, interesting read in all things - a polymath of sorts - and you also try your best to be sensible and just
20.01.2026 19:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That said - SPOILER ALERT - there's was powerful stuff in that episode and the very last scene was a nice touch
20.01.2026 00:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I'm a Sopranos guy.
One thing I didn't like about the Shield finale - SPOILER ALERT - was that he had to disclose all his misdeeds to the other cop he was manipulating as part of his deal...seemed gimmicky and didn't make much sense (to me at least)
Yeah I remember that. Leiter was heroic in defeat.
Armando Benitez also comes to mind for that series.
I was actually happy to see that Yankee team win.
That all ended in 2000.
True, but my younger daughter (early 20s) insists on seeing movies in the theater.
17.12.2025 23:31 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I can't bring myself to watch them this year so I shouldn't talk.
Nevertheless: I gather from social media that they play with better structure than in recent years but just don't have the offensive talent required to be more than a maybe-make-the-playoffs team
I might have Strangelove higher, too! Was tough to decide between that and Clockwork Orange.
13.11.2025 12:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My as of this moment Kubrick ranking. Sure of 1 and 2, but not the rest
1. 2001
2. The Shining
3. Clockwork Orange
4. Dr. Strangelove
5. Barry Lyndon
6. Full Metal Jacket
7. Paths of Glory
8. Eyes Wide Shut
Saw Lolita and Spartacus but they were too dated for me
Haven't seen the others
Every time I see Eyes Wide Shut I think "hey, this is better than I remember" but then after a week or two I just go back to not really caring about it. I don't think it's bad, though.
12.11.2025 19:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fifth Element is a great deep cut. When I used to surf cable tv, rather than the internet, I'd stop on that one every time
12.11.2025 16:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0lol. should add Paths of Glory. Wouldn't add Eyes Wide Shut. On the fence with Full Metal Jacket - basic training part is a must see, though, so I'll put it on the list!

Not sure how deep cut to go on this one. Not gonna say stuff like the Godfather (which, if you haven't seen yet, not sure what we're even doing hereπ)
12.11.2025 16:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yep. IN the NHL, 24 aint a baby. Neither is 23. Laf should be in the middle of his prime years. He'll soon be past the average player's prime. Also, 1OA should be better younger and older than the average player.
12.11.2025 14:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nice! Love my hoodies. Hate to lose them!
11.11.2025 13:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0lol. What I always think of when I think of Bruce Coslet is that the Jets drafted Blair Thomas with like the 3rd overall pick in the draft and Coslet made him a 3rd Down back
08.11.2025 21:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Bring back Walt Michaels!
07.11.2025 12:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Right, exactly!
07.11.2025 12:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Out of all the geezers on the Rangers, Kreider is the only one I wouldn't have called a "fat cat." But he's the guy they scapegoated.
07.11.2025 12:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Bill Arnsbarger doesn't make the cut?
