How can we share power in the cultural sector?

‘What counts as memory?’ And if a fallen statue us still in a museum basement rather than melted down there is a risk of re-erejection.

‘Not having a dream happen and then needing to have another dream’. This is a real challenge for funding streams that ALWAYS require newness.

‘Hopeful or harmful’. Let’s discuss. What can cultural organisations do.

‘We are not lone individuals we are constellations.’

Love the discussion about access - right to roam, walking in cities, everyday spaces as opposed to culture and heritage being behind locked doors in museums.

If we can adjust to a re-brand we can adjust to the removal of a violent aggressor names from buildings.

Low pay in the museum sector has a detrimental impact on workforce attraction, retention and wellbeing.

A big shout out to everyone who is matrix managing but isn’t classed as a manager, with their associated pay because they are not direct line reports. When we all really know the skills to manage in a matrix fashion far outweigh the skills for line management. ❤️
