1. no you didn't, you retconning fucks
2. your decades of anti-governance "free market" "government never functions" propaganda paved the way for the complete authoritarian decimation of labor, consumer, environmental protections
I have to admit that while I appreciate your reporting and the excellent work you do, I saw ‘Molly awards’ and I thought maybe you had gone into some very happy, hugging, feeling unbelievably good and happy reporting.
But you haven’t. 😢
REP. STEIL: Some Dems demands put at risk the safety of members of law enforcement
CNBC: You mean like taking off their masks and having a badge that shows who they are?
STEIL: Well, they're known to their supervisors
CNBC: No other law enforcement officials in the US are allowed to wear masks
I hate people who want all those fake and empty events like concerts. And musicals or plays.
And football! Don’t get me started about all the performative nonsense in sports!
People have worn out "performative." We often perform things that are real, you know. Posting is a kind of performance of one's politics. Performative doesn't actually mean "fake" or "empty," it just gets deployed that way. We actually need performance. Case in point: last night's performance.

SpaceX shifts focus from something that it will never do on Mars to something it will never do on the Moon.

And at the end of the 3rd quarter in Super Bowl 20 the Patriots trailed the Bears 44-3.
So it could be worse Pats' fans. It could be worse.
I made a lot of money with fantasy pools and sports betting back in the day.
2025 was the first in about 39 years I hadn’t done a pool etc.
I stopped not because of losing money etc, but because the supersaturated nature of gambling in sports now made me not want to do it anymore.
Great post!

But the lowlife, degenerate, racist pieces of shit that was the marrow of the confederacy losing the American Civil War is where the backlash originates.

I became a Pats fan because of Super Bowl 20. Forty years later I’m just hoping they don’t lose by 35 or more points this time.

Just a quick update from the Twin Cities. (Please forgive the unsolicited message). THINGS ARE NOT BETTER IN MINNEAPOLIS. The media is mostly moving on, Trump is focused on other stuff, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE GROUND. More than 2,000 DHS thugs continue to roam the streets, abducting people 24/7, assaulting legal observers with impunity, and routinely denying 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights. Drones and helicopters are overhead every day. Hundreds and hundreds of terrified families have not left their homes since mid-December ... relying on the community to bring them food and help with rent and other necessities. (Those people are NOT violent drug cartel sex offending murderers, as DHS would tell you. Most are legal residents or citizens.) If anything, things have just become more stressful and intractable (think trench warfare as a suitable metaphor): The resistance is better organized and numerous, but DHS has become more clever and better at disguise... and the county sheriff's office is increasingly supporting them . Do not let anyone tell you that Homans (the new person in charge of the occupation) is making anything better. Do not let anyone tell you that 700 ICE agents leaving the city has made much of a difference; the remaining force (again, ~2,000) is still larger than the entire city's police force (which is legally unable to do anything). Please call your congressional reps ... especially if there is any chance the administration might listen to them.
A desperate plea sent to me by a Minneapolis resident who's been on the front lines since the beginning of the ICE occupation:
