Based and better late than never, Duffy has gained some respect from me, he's not doing that bad as acting admin and would be okay choice for a permanent position.
21.10.2025 00:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

03.09.2025 15:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's absolutely ridiculous how much mass and space that thing wastes. Good thing it will never come close to carrying crew, the refueling architecture is megafucked because it relies on a massive, completely unreachable amount of propellant transferred per tanker to get it done in 17 launches.
28.08.2025 10:20 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0They just finished touring last month in the US, they're releasing their first concert film on August 21st in select AMC theaters. It's the next best thing after seeing them live, I hope the film will be available in Europe sometime later, I'd love to experience their grandest show in this way.
08.08.2025 12:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Glad you discovered them, I'm lucky that I found them back in 2021 by accident.
They just finished touring for this year, but there's the next best thing coming very soon, concert film from their grandest show yet where they played KMF in full, playing in AMC theaters. youtu.be/bf9CaQB_uHc?...
They're very good friends with The Warning, Lzzy invited them to tour together back in 2022 supporting them and Pretty Reckless, a promise she made when she saw them play on a livestream for a charity quarantine show in 2020. They toured together a couple more times since then.
07.08.2025 19:53 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0All of their albums are bangers, they don't miss. Their second album is a concept album written and released when they were still kids.
07.08.2025 19:33 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They also put Survive from their first album in a later edition of the game.
07.08.2025 19:25 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I love my post-punk, but I've been looking for a new hard rock band for ages. Something with big guitars, throbbing bass, passion and power.
So, I'm late to the party, but better late than never. The Warning, three sisters from Mexico, are everything I needed.

It wasn't even fully fueled, only liquid oxygen tank was full, liquid methane was at 20%.

19.06.2025 13:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yes, it's a static fire test pad at Masseys, which is relatively near the launch site.
19.06.2025 13:03 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's called Starshit for a reason #spacex #starship #starbase
16.06.2025 11:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1People should realize these Axiom flights are the closest to SpaceX having their own crewed program, with the little oversight they have relative to NASA CCP, having their shitty company culture risk a serious accident isn't suprising at all. Without any oversight there would be fatalities by now.
15.06.2025 22:51 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Almost as if cheaping out on everything isn't such a good idea.
06.06.2025 10:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Transfer time of over 13 years, there is no margin for a kick stage that would allow for a more direct or efficient transfer. A 10 ton stage with payload and 9 tons of propellant would have ~3 km/s deltaV with hydrolox and RL-10, it would start from HEO. SLS without a kick stage is better than this.
30.05.2025 12:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Clipper is slightly over 6 tons. UOP would be over 7.2 tons.
30.05.2025 08:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Spacecraft weigh several tons alone. A stage wouldn't have much room left, dry mass of stage and structurals would be a few tons so prop mass would be ~9 t at most, that is not enough to produce required deltaV for direct transfer. SLS on the other hand can make use of kick stages, plenty capacity.
30.05.2025 02:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Any mission where total payload mass exceeds that limit. For example, the two Gateway modules it's supposed to launch came over that limit as development added more mass, they had to shave it off first to fit under the limit and then some more for module propulsion performance itself.
30.05.2025 01:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Irrelevant when it turned out to be a non issue.
30.05.2025 01:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There are none available for the foreseeable future. Block 1 is discontinued after Artemis III anyway. If it lives on then there are future prospects with uprated variants.
30.05.2025 01:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Falcon Heavy is structurally limited to ~20 tons.
30.05.2025 01:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I know how it works, it doesn't work as you suggest.
30.05.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Wrong
30.05.2025 00:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You have no clue how wrong you are. FH and New Glenn aren't as capable as you think. Clipper launch cost 178 million, it was all expended.
30.05.2025 00:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0modifications for spacecraft which cost more than it would have if it was a direct transfer. Direct transfer is the only feasible option for distant targets such as Uranus or Neptune, alternative would take too long to reach. New Glenn is also far less capable than SLS. /2
30.05.2025 00:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not how that works, canceling projects from one branch doesn't translate to more money for others. FH is incapable of sending these probes on a direct transfer trajectory, it launched Clipper on a gravity assist that takes significantly more transfer time and closer to the Sun, which prompted /1
