Go Beyond! Plus Ultra!

Today I spent 10 hours having Aizawa Shōta tattooed on my calf - he’s perfect, he’s beautiful, he’s Daddy, he’s everything.

In seven short hours we’ll just be starting work on my calf piece and I’m so excited I can’t sleep.

I’m finally going to have a character that’s so precious to me immortalised on my skin, I can’t wait I’m so giddy!

Everyone now believes I’m incredibly efficient and they’re so grateful for the 30 minutes they get back and can justify on their outlook calendars.

I feel like a LinkedIn influencer with “Hacks to Keep Staff On Board” - this is crazy.

I hate it here 😌

When I first started booking out training slots, I had no idea how long it would take to deliver. I guessed at an hour.

Even with long pauses, question time and technical difficulties I’ve never taken longer than 30 minutes to deliver.

This is the greatest mistake I’ve ever made. +

As soon as I deliver this project at work, I’m taking emergency leave before I’m forced to go off sick.

I’ve now got nerve damage in my arm. That a colleague had to diagnose between patients because I can’t afford to take time off for healthcare.

Ironic, don’t you think?

I was so excited to spend the weekend alone. Peace. Quiet. Tranquility.

One of my cats has decided to be an absolute hellion all fucking day 😩

It’s sat on a shelf waiting for *me* to build it once I feel confident enough to try an MG.

Those kits are his most treasured - a tribute to us, a band I introduced him to and a hobby he introduced me to - and he wants me to share so it’s truly a combined effort.

A year or two into dating, I bought him two MG kits from Japan. I had no interest in Gunpla at this point but they were based on custom kits made by a member of DIR EN GREY. My favourite band and a hobby he enjoyed? No brainer.

He was so surprised I’d even managed to get my hands on them.

“I’m happy when you’re happy.”

And I’m very happy when we build Gunpla together.

Yesterday I was a shell of myself, broken and drained. I’d managed to push back an autistic meltdown at work by the skin of my teeth and once I was settled at home, he presented me with the Police Zaku.

He laughed at my surprised face. Smiled as I flapped my hands in pure joy and excitement.

So he went out of his way to pre-order the kits when he could.

We love building kits together. He helps me when I can’t work out how pieces go together, I help him with painting techniques I’ve transferred from my other artistic endeavours.

I have been struggling recently, quite badly.

I just couldn’t get into it. Witch from Mercury wasn’t dreadful but I couldn’t finish it. I was madly in love with the Pharact though and it sits proudly on my Gunpla display with an Aerial bust.

GQuuuuuux was the game changing show for me. It was finally something that *I* could connect to.

He knew I’d love it, if I gave it a chance. He didn’t bother with anime or manga at first, just straight into Gunpla. A Petit’gguy. Tieria Erde.

I was instantly hooked. He bought me more Petit’gguy, then Haropla, the Hello Kitty collabs. Then onto more complex kits.

He tried with the anime…

Growing up, I had bad experiences with Mecha fans. Despite my love for robots, androids, vehicles and machinery - I ignored Mecha.

Until I met my partner. He’s the biggest Transformers fan and his Gunpla collection comes in a close second.
