It’s just last 8 am, I’ve been awake for over 4 hours already (including a gym day), and I’m super tired. Today is going to to be super slow.

That feeling when you go back to work after some time off, realizing that you won’t have any significant time off again for over 6 months. 🫠

First day back at work today, and I was at the gym by 4 am. My insomnia working in my advantage, I suppose.

My belly is full and my heart is happy. 🤤

Plus, we got there before the crowds showed up, and only got a little bit of rain.

Food we had:
1. From Taiwan: steamed pork bun.
2. From Kenya: mandaazi.
3. From Ecuador: cheese empanada and meat empanada.
4. From Philippines: BBQ pork.
5. From Spain: caramel churro ice cream sundae.

Hit the Heritage Festival today with my mom, and had a great time eating some fantastic food. I wanted to eat everything, but limited myself so my stomach wouldn’t explode (though I would die happy in that circumstance). Before I list what we had, everything was excellent. No complaints at all.

The gym is very empty at 5 am on a holiday Monday. It was glorious.

Good news: no drama. They’re gone, and life goes on.

Welp, supper was uneventful. Apart from the fact that they didn’t use my partner’s name at all (which isn’t unexpected). They’re coming back to our place to watch a movie now, which means that there won’t be much talking - probably for the best. 🤷

Going out for dinner with the in-laws tonight, so on top of the earrings I’ve added my pride socks and two pride bracelets. I’m also wearing an X-Men t-shirt, because they’re many people’s gay/bi/etc awakenings. 😅

I finally got a dinosaur egg in my current Stardew Valley playthrough. About freaking time.

Also, if I could I would eat my body weight in every type of empanada. 🤤

Edmonton has such a vibrant culture made up of the world’s cultures. I love this city, and I’m so happy that I get to experience great things like this.

It beautifully showcases all of the amazing multicultural goodness that Edmonton has to offer through the best method - food! Plus, the country pavilions have great displays of other great things from their home countries.

It’s the Heritage Festival this weekend in Edmonton, and I’m super excited. Definitely my favourite festival of the year. #yeg

My homophobic and transphobic in-laws are visiting this weekend, and my plan is to be as passively aggressively gay as possible. My partner and I are going to ham it up however we can. Step one: Pride earrings are in.

First 3 days at the gym, and I feel pretty good. Mainly did cardio and some light muscle exercises to start out, trying to not overdo things.

One of those movies that's way better than it has any right to be.

How is it August already? I'm already dreading winter.

I miss doing things with friends in real life. Not to take anything away from my online friends, but seeing people face to face is still the best.

My kids finished re-watching Hilda on Netflix, and damn that show kicks ass. Such an awesome story, voice acting, animation, and the whole world… I love it all.

Current earrings are a bit low-key, but I like the blue and black pattern.

Decided to make the decision to join a local gym. First impressions are good, and hopefully I can remain consistent. These noodle arms need to be less noodle-ish!

I’ve always said that of all celebrities, I would want to sit down and have a drink with @wilwheaton.net the most. I’ve started reading “Still Just a Geek”, and it’s further cementing that thought.
