Day 171
Element of Art: Space
Think I took some good notes today. Space seems like something that’s simple to understand but hard to implement. Also watched a Marc Brunet video about JIC vs. JIT learning.

Day 170
Objects
Not the biggest fan of my work today ngl
Day 169
General Practice
Tried to get in a lean 60-minute practice in today to slowly get back into my routine
Day 168
🤒 Finale
I’ll get back on the grind tomorrow 💪
Day 167:
🤒 part 2
I feel bad but I’m just exhausted
Day 166:
🤒
Don’t have the energy to draw today :(
I wanted to draw some silly guys

Ugh
I tried to practice the Loomis method, I really did :(
Day 164:
Portraits
Still not the best at symmetry but I feel like I’m inproving. Leon and Claire from RE2 BTW :)
Day 163:
Objects
Not too keen on anything I drew today, but the giraffe looks nice
Day 162:
Book
Think I’m really good at drawing torsos, and I’m starting to actually get the hang of gesture drawing
Day 161
N/A
Date night part 2 :)
I’ll be back tomorrow
Day 160
N/A
Date night :)
Day 159
Element of Art
Honestly didn’t really learn anything I don’t know yet about space in art. Time for some more advanced lessons
Day 158
N/A
Just don’t got the energy today. Sorry ya’ll
Day 157
Portraits
Ngl, kind of still suck at drawing head shapes. Faces I can do all day, but not the melon. Doesn’t help that I found the Loomis Method to be ineffective and makes things worse. Might have to do some workshopping.
Day 156
Practice
This has probably been one of the worst days in recent memory for me, so the fact I did anything to begin with is a miracle
Day 155
Objects
Another one of those “I try something new and get flustered” kind of days that leave me drained. I really wish I could draw realistic monsters, but I simply don’t have the capability yet
Day 154
Book
Now we’re back on track! I’ve decided that I’m going to try and replicate all the drawings I see in the anatomy guide. My mind often wanders when I take dry notes, so it’s a lot more engaging.
Day 153
N/A
My dog has been having some serious GI issues and I’ve been too worried to focus on art. Unfortunately it’s a mulligan today
Day 152
N/A
It’s my girlfriend’s birthday so I didn’t have much time to draw, but I did draw her favorite Pokemon at least :)
Day 151
General Practice
I’m probably not gonna have enough time to draw these upcoming days, but I’ll try my best to at least get in a hour
Day 150
Anatomy
Just another day of anatomy. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by drawing highly detailed, realistic clothing though.
Lol they suspended dril, great work to the morons running this place

Book
Think I might try to pull my style away from realism into one that uses much more apparent shapes to indicate anatomy. Of course I’ll still be practicing realism, but I honestly don’t want my final style to be stiff if that makes sense
Day 148
Portraits
Work for about an hour on something, but I won’t reveal it until Thursday

Day 147
Element of Art
Started learning how to implement space into my drawings and kind of got carried away lol
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
Day 146
Objects
Liked how these came out, I think I’m getting the hang of values, which is good cause we’re moving onto another element of art tomorrow :)
Day 145
Anatomy
Don’t think I did all that well at gesture drawing today, but the box mannequins were characteristically pretty good! Also I’m trying to see how various clothing material wrinkle and react to light. The first one is latex for… reasons 😳
