I’m worried that the exodus from Meta and Twitter is what they want. To isolate us from each other.

Isolation is a big part of autocracy. It makes people easier to lie to and abuse.

I don’t have a global answer, but I am working on building a social media space for our podcast listeners.

This hits the nail on the head. It’s one thing to not use Meta yourself, but for campaigns that are trying to reach as many as possible, you can’t *not* use platforms where a ton of people already are.

Trump supporters give him so much credit for things they are assuming he stands for. He got their votes, he could literally care less about them. He isn’t worried about getting elected and needing them again. Cutting social security enables him to pass more tax cuts for his billionaire buddies.

The party that tells young people not to bother with college, bans books, and wants to disband the Department of Eduction is currently annoyed that American workers aren't educated enough for skilled jobs.

Brief thread on how we got here: Since the GOP won control of the House 2 years ago they have not passed a single appropriations package into law. Government has operated at funding levels set by Dems 2 years ago via continuing resolutions every few months. This is not normal.

If he backwards-psychology gets rid of the EC, that will really be something.
