It's incredible to me how much last night showed how much most media and business leaders completely miscalculated by assuming a permanent shift.

I think there are two factors here:

1.) people with “fuck you” money lack a mental model of economic utility for people actually impacted by beef costing infinity dollars

2.) some people also lack a mental model of people who actually believe in some form of liberalism or socialism
