I’m still thinking about him in this outfit from THE LOST MAN (1969). #SidneyPoitier #FilmSky

I’m amazed no one ever talks about this movie. I think it’s among the most unique and daring of his roles I’ve ever seen!

We had tickets to the New Beverly’s rare screening of Sidney Poitier’s THE LOST MAN (1969) tonight but the parking situation was dire. We ended up miraculously finding a shoddy copy of someone’s VHS to watch at home since this was a movie that I just couldn’t miss! #FilmSky

FINALLY got the chance to visit The El Capitan Theatre for the first time to see LADY AND THE TRAMP (1955) on the big screen! It was even more magical than I could have dreamed of. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’•

More Hollywood record store finds! I think finding the soundtrack to HOW TO MURDER YOUR WIFE (β€˜65) still in the plastic for $2 is probably one of my best scores yet!

In honor of Paul Newman’s 100th birthday, I made Joanne Woodward’s recipe for gazpacho that appears in the Newman’s Own cookbook! It’s more of a refreshing summer dish, but I had to make an exception to pay tribute to one of the most exceptional couples in Hollywood history. πŸ’•

Happy 100th birthday to one of the most beautiful and talented human beings to ever exist, both inside and out: the legendary Paul Newman. πŸ€πŸ•ŠοΈ

In his honor, today I’m watching his films and making Joanne Woodward’s recipe for gazpacho straight from the Newman’s Own cookbook!

Celebrating our dating anniversary at one of our favorite places! Probably one of our last dates before we become a family of three and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

I’ve loved you three summers now honey, but I want them all. πŸ’•

I was tempted to see CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (β€˜58) on the big screen as part of The Academy Museum’s Paul Newman centennial celebration, but it passed me right by so we’re watching it at home tonight! It’s been far too long for me and it’s a first time watch for my husband!

Started this morning by testing another Old Hollywood recipe for the cookbook: Diana Dors’ Breakfast Bean Omelette! This was outstanding, but I have to admit that I couldn’t resist adding a little bit of cheese, which might not be very British of me!

Great news! Mount Vernon Cemetery, which houses John Barrymore and members of his family, has been closed for nearly two decades. The cemetery’s fallen into disrepair, but the new year has brought a new owner! We’re one step closer to seeing Mount Vernon open and beautiful again!

I love when stores aren’t aware of the treasures they have. I found this for $2 at Amoeba in Hollywood, but after Olivia Hussey’s passing, it means a great deal more than $2 to me. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’”

I’m crying all over again because I truly can’t fathom how strong Olivia was to write about her experiences and fight for her rights while going through illness, just to have her case thrown out just before she died. Olivia deserves justice and always will. πŸ’”

Our baby shower at The Formosa Cafe today was so spectacular. We even got Bugsy Seigel’s booth! I didn’t take a lot of pictures of the event itself because we were having so much fun, but it meant the world to be surrounded by friends and family who are so excited about our baby girl’s arrival! πŸ₯°πŸ’•
