You can’t measure your own progress by just your words and not your actions, and you can’t deny people’s ability to notice the difference between the two. You don’t always know yourself more than everyone else if you lack the self-awareness to tell yourself the truth.

It doesn’t make the people who wish you were self-aware want you to suffer, nor that THEY’RE stuck in the past, nor that they make an assumption when you refuse to full-heartedly acknowledge you were the bad guy, you’re actually hiding behind an apology to dismiss, while still acting the victim.

People have every right to talk about what you did regardless of your fake apology, because it legitimately means nothing, and if it were any situation other than mind games and mental abuse, or it was you on the other side, you’d understand it a lot more. I know you would bc you go through it too.

An apology without meaning to manipulate and lovebomb them, is the most worthless apology in the world. there is no way in any situation it holds ground for being better nor is it a good enough excuse to continue manipulating the narrative, paint yourself good, or force the survivor into silence.

Silence protects abusers.
