I agree w/ the sentiment that the big corporations are likely to be 1st to leverage Trump for tariff refunds, so they’re EZ to loathe. But firsthand, ~80% of US businesses are 10 or fewer employees, >95% when counting sole proprietors. They/we got f’d more than anyone by the tariffs, ate that cost.

Today’s SCOTUS ruling on Trump’s illegal tariffs is not a win for the sanctity of the law, or any sweeping preservation of our US Constitution. But rather a reminder to be grateful this POTUS makes arguments so f’ing stupid, even this collection of Heritage-leashed chucklefucks HAD to rule…

Why this matters most is not just for funds lost by Americans in a year. Swift court action woulda prevented Trump’s petulant, ignorant ass from destroying longstanding international trade relations in a year’s time that he NEVER had the power to sabotage

1. Yes, relieved the Trump tariffs were struck down

2. BUT we must extend a colossal 🖕🖕🖕 to the Supreme Court for not issuing on an expedited basis, ruling LONG ago. That BS was illegal Day 1. And although they got it right, did so belatedly, allowing blatanty unconstitutional damage to be done.

I’m convinced at this point the Supreme Court could be presented a case arguing the right to vote doesn’t extend to left-handed people over 6 feet tall born in the month of March, and although it would be struck down, Thomas, Alito and Kavanaugh would ab-so-fucking-lutely dissent.

Hard to find a more bright-line, clearly unconstitutional case to come before the SC than Trump’s “emergency” BS for usurping Congress to make his own tariffs. Fortunately the court ruled against 6-3, but the subtext is there are still 3 ludicrously corrupt justices not following the Constitution 🤬
