Experiment. Try different approaches. Embrace the bad. It's supposed to be messy and unknown.

Okay, I am usually not very confident and coming up with positive things to say about my art comes at a big energy cost for me but I think RANGE is one of the stronger qualities of my art.

I just can't decide and love too many things

I swear, Dorian turned out to be my favourite piece of art ever. And he's not even the most complex thing I've drawn so far, that's either Lucanis or my Ghibli screen grab, but something about it makes me go back.
Might be his sassy pose and my deeply rooted love for his character. 🤭

This feels like you've coloured it on paper with markers, which is amazing!
I don't know if you've intended it to look that way, but I'm always impressed when artists can emulate a traditional look digitally. 😄

This is such a cool range you have going on! The contrast of the phoenix to the very realistic Cap painting to chibi Bucky and that beautiful landscape is very cool! 😍

One end of the spectrum is going very painterly, the other is working with vibrant graphic lineart.
The rest sits somewhere in-between. 😌

The old beggar I always toss some coins has been in an exceptional mood recently.
"We're on the #cusp of a new beginning. Their power is #waning, they just don't know it yet" he confides in me.
I laugh, not believing him.
Until the royal family is dead & the old beggar is nowhere to be seen.

Also, it's nice to throw a meet-cute in between all the drama and suspense from time to time. 😌

His skates slipped on the ice and he tried to regain his balance with his arms flailing wildly to no avail.
Someone caught him before he could hit the ground though.
"Woah, careful there."
He blushed and almost fell again when he saw the man still steadying him smile and give him a wink.

That's true, but my heart wasn't really in it back in the day anyway if I'm honest and I have my hands full with other stuff I fully enjoy doing. So it's no big loss to me. 🤗

It's not a well known fact since it's been... 10 years or so and it never really amounted to much anyway. 😂

I believe in your ability to find the necessary motivation for priming your figures 🙏🏼
Just think of it as delayed gratification - you suffer now to be able to enjoy yourself painting later 🔥

Just a quick heads up: I've changed my username from "CL, the Bard" to "V, the Librarian".
It's the one I've been using for my art anyway and running around with two handles felt a bit redundant after all this time. 😅

The cold accompanying the constant #drizzle soaked into our clothes and seeped into our skin and bones.
Still, we kept walking to stay as warm as we could as well as to find some shelter.

Maybe when the stars were right.
It was just a myth anyway.
The boat which will #unmoor itself and vanish on the sea as soon as it has lured in passengers.
Just a myth, I tell myself as I board, my doubts immediately forgotten.
