The defense used by German Citizens when asked why they didn’t stop the evil occurring.

Would apps distract them if they had them? Do the people in Gaza forget about the horrors of Israeli kinetic strikes if they do a day of TikTok scrolling? What algorithm is made specifically to comfort the abandoned? Maybe they should unplug? Too much depressing stuff online. Would that help them?

Our consciousness tells us what to do, but we live in a civilized time. TV shows come out that we have to binge watch and distract. Algorithms programmed into apps on our phones take our attention away from the evil befalling our neighbors. The missing? The dead? They have no apps to distract them.

There’s a moment of hesitation when Humans are confronted with evil, and during that moment there is suffering. Our moment comes when we find ourselves in the place of the anti-Hitler German citizens during the rise of his regime.

Obviously you have to take into account the user base for both platforms, but it’s the energy too. The conversation never stopped over there. People are angry.

Here I STILL get pushback over saying we should kill Nazis.

I understand when they say we focus too much on being politically correct
