This issue of VIDEO marks the very first appearance of the first recurring column on home video games to feature in a nationally distributed consumer-focused magazine. The column was called Arcade Alley, written by Bill Kunkel and Arnie Katz, and would continue to run until the August 1984 issue.

Looks like this action focused Goofy game would’ve felt right at home on the NES. Too bad we never got a port. I unfortunately don’t have the disk (box only), has anyone played this? Any good?

Bram Stoker’s Dracula on SegaCD is uneven, unfair, crudely animated and yet… it has a certain charm.

Playing Arkanoid vs Space Invader+ (Apple Arcade) using iCode’s Arcade Spinner Ultimate controller.

Probably a small niche of interest here, but for what it’s worth iCode’s Arcade Spinner Ultimate works with zero configuration on Arkanoid vs Space Invaders+ on iOS Apple Arcade. Hold yellow button to move vertically, hold blue button to move horizontally. If you tinker I bet there’s better configs.

BigPEmu version 1.16 is out now, and the iOS port is live on the App Store. This version boasts an incredible number of improvements to the emulation core along with more than a few new features!

If you purchased the full stack of MiSTer Pi (Turbo or Mega pack) then you’ll just need a vga-to-component cable if your setup is like mine. There are different cables for different crt setups, but this is the cable I’m using on this little Sony Trinitron. www.monoprice.com/product?p_id...

I’m also using a MiSTer Pi, if you’re using component like me it’s pretty easy to setup. Set vga_mode to YPbPr/Component and vga_sog to On in the MiSTer ini settings file. That worked for me.

Japanese game magazines are full of type-in programs created for Family BASIC. Lost NES media! They're doing the work of getting them typed in and available again.

They’ve all been fantastic. If the original on NES is like my comfort food, then Castlevania III is like my warm blanket. I actually had a lot of fun playing Castlevania II as well but didn’t play it as much as I or III.
