Hi Kasey. Going well. Carrots and radishes have sprouted, beans are starting to vine out. Jalapeños are about 7 inches tall, should start producing peppers here in a couple weeks. Onions, chives, horseradish, and sage are all up and running.

This was supposed to be satire.....

A break from the political mumbo jumbo.... had surgery on my right foot 11 days ago. Today was 1st visit with the surgeon post op. Things are looking good, still have several weeks before I can walk on it.

Argh.....wearing shorts....

In non-political news, it's a bright sunny day in the Gem State, about 60 degrees out, and a fine day for wearing shirts and firing up the grill. Today I'm going to put the chaos aside and enjoy the moment.

Never thought I would consider Richard M. Nixon as a role model, but even he understood diplomacy.

And a few hours later we have blue skies and sunshine...

Just to step away from politics for a moment.... snowfall last night, giving my trees a fine new winter coat. A small reminder that there's still some beauty to be found in the world.

They do a good job of that themselves. When it gets too cold they gather up in the coop in a big chicken pile. Feathers, it seems, are great insulators.

Fairly nice Saturday afternoon in Idaho. The chickens are making the most of it, lounging out on the deck.

I'm not so worried as much as to what the incoming administration will try to do as I am of what the rank and file followers will feel emboldened to try.
