Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure how that happened, but I’ve now corrected the article copy to take out the quote marks. As you say, Charles did not use the word desperate and so it shouldn’t have been presented as a direct quote

Aston Martin take dramatic action with F1 broadcaster after fury over reporting Comment made about driver Lance Stroll, son of Formula 1 team owner Lawrence Stroll, by Sky Germany pundit Ralf Schumacher have led to Aston Martin taking action

Sky DE still free to speak with Stroll and Fernando Alonso in designated open sessions on Thursday and in TV pen after quali and race, but other requests are being denied. That won't likely change until Aston are satisfied that reporting will be fairer going forward. Sky UK are unaffected 🟒

Aston Martin take dramatic action with F1 broadcaster after fury over reporting Comment made about driver Lance Stroll, son of Formula 1 team owner Lawrence Stroll, by Sky Germany pundit Ralf Schumacher have led to Aston Martin taking action

Understand Aston Martin began a partial boycott of Sky Germany in Hungary at the weekend and denied all 1v1 interviews. Concerns over lack of balance in reporting and final straw appears to have been Ralf Schumacher demanding Lance Stroll apologise for his radio rant at Silverstone last month 🟒

The F1 star once 'killed' by Max Verstappen turning the heads of top teams again Five years ago, one driver's Formula 1 career looked over after just two years in the sport, but Alex Albon has not only worked his way back onto the grid but is thriving with Williams

Alex Albon has had a longer route to F1 stardom than he would have hoped. But now he is shining brighter than ever at Williams and top teams, including former employer Red Bull, have taken notice.

He’s happy at Williams but could be a key figure in the 2026 driver market 🏎️

Lewis Hamilton says 'I'm useless' in tough to watch interview at Hungarian GP Charles Leclerc secured pole position for Ferrari at the Hungarian Grand Prix but Lewis Hamilton was well down the order and was very self-critical after qualifying

We've seen plenty of downcast interviews from Lewis Hamilton after poor qualifying results in recent times, but this was up there with those that made for the toughest viewing πŸ”΄

Toto Wolff calls emergency meeting as Mercedes have two major problems to solve George Russell needs a new contract but that is a far less urgent problem for Mercedes right now than the issues they have with Kimi Antonelli and, most crucially, their car

A lot of Mercedes coverage of late has been about their pursuit of Max Verstappen and George Russell's contract situation. But their performance regression and Kimi Antonelli's crisis of confidence are two far more pressing issues for Toto Wolff to address ✍

Haas definitely better off with Komatsu and McLaren also proves that having a more technically minded boss in charge of performance (Stella) is ideal. Point I'm making is performance and racing isn't necessarily what has attracted a lot of new fans to the sport, it's the personalities

F1 car wheeled off Belgian Grand Prix grid minutes before race in huge blow The Belgian Grand Prix saw a dramatic change to the starting order just 15 minutes before the beginning of the Sprint race, with Pierre Gasly suffering a problem on his Alpine

Pierre Gasly started the Belgian GP sprint race on lap three, so two laps down on the rest of the pack, after suffering a water leak on his reconnaissance laps to the grid. No chance of points, but at least he's been able to head out on track to gather some race data which could help for Sunday 🏎

Only sprint qualifying, of course, but that was some statement from Oscar Piastri at Spa. Half-a-second quicker than Lando Norris with his final flyer.

He was angrier than I think we’ve ever seen him after what he felt was an unjust penalty at Silverstone – that’s how you respond!
