I think something else that might come into play here is thinking about will your audience understand abbreviations. I follow a great accessibility account on the other place (A11yAwareness), and theyβve made the point that abbreviations may not be known by everyone and that screenreaders may not ..

But I feel like maybe part of what you want to convey based on your question is the aesthetics like cuteness and the feeling from those drawings. So maybe Iβd look at alt text in this case like a creative writing exercise? Like in 1-2 sentences how would you paint the same picture with words?

You can definitely search βwriting good alt textβ and get great advice about considering the context to help figure out what you want to convey, avoiding starting alt text with βPicture/Image ofβ (although sometimes describing the kind of image is important), and other tips.
