I have NO idea where the Disney megabucks are going. The Chibnel era felt more cinematic with some lovely location work.

To clarify, I don't think the show is pitching itself too young, just that all the soft reboots also reset character growth, story progression etc and it can feel jarring to see it so regularly.

Dare I say, we are all just getting older, while every few years the show has a bit of a reboot and tries to hook the next wave of youngsters, so to us it can feel like a regression?

The one colleague at work who so watches is similarly low on enthusiasm rn, she blamed the woke (personally I love that RTD is putting at least one thing per ep to boil the piss of conservatives) but did agree the show has always had that in some form.
