There’s just never been an example of someone trying actual socialism that didn’t result in that. Why don’t you just advocate for social democracy? It has a far superior track record and it’s actually achievable.

Every system has to deal with that. No socialist revolution has ever made it TO even the vanguard party stage bc people in that system undermine it and it just turns into authoritarianism, secret police, and executions. I’ll take the down sides of the Nordic model over that.

The Nordic model is 100% compatible with capitalism and liberalism, they’re not socialist. They just pay more in taxes and have far more robust social services and safety nets.

If a Democrat President governed like Trump does, without congress, you should also be against it. Democrats don’t get sweeping legislation done, because they don’t win enough seats in congress to do that. Biden’s legislative record was a miracle and you saw how we were rewarded for that.

I think the entire country is in favor of reevaluating their funding, it’s just that about half the electorate thinks they should be paid more bc they’re doing “such a great job”.

Well it’s just not funny when half the country agrees with Trump and another chunk doesn’t understand how bad things are, so satire about it further trivializes it to them, “politics as usual”. I can enjoy satire about Trump among allies, but overall probably a net negative.
